View Full Version : VDub 1.5.3 not completeing encode

Hey I'm encoding an anime episode (~25 mins) in a 2 pass DivX 5 Pro encode. When I setup the jobs in VDub and then start the process everything goes fine (I set priority to Highest). Problem is the first job finishes (100%) and the time estimated just keeps incrementing by 1 second and the time elapsed increments then by 1 so its just increasing time and doing nothing. This process continues endlessly and does not start the second job in the job list. I'm not sure what is causing this or why it keeps doing it any ideas or has someone come across this before. Any help will be greatly welcome :)

Thanks

Sounds like the "stalling problem" I spoke of before. Try my version (http://home.attbi.com/~blade66) of VirtualDub 1.5.3.

The same problem happens to me, until Windows XP is out of virtual memory and the system hangs.

It happens using 1.52 and 1.53 versions, always when making second pass using DivX 5.05, and Avisynth 2.51 or 2.08.

Virtual Dub 1.51 works perfectly with the same configuration.

Hi fccHandler, I have installed your version but I have the same problem. My O.S. is XP.

Sorry exist a procedure for installing your version?

My situation is equal to Feņiz.:devil:

Best regards

@tilting:
I think that's the virtual memory issue being discussed here (http://virtualdub.everwicked.com/index.php?act=ST&f=15&t=3020&hl=&).
(phaeron is Avery Lee, the author of VirtualDub.)

P.S. No procedure to install, just unzip and run the exe.

@fccHandler

Thanks for your answer.

I have read some posts and reply abt this problem, but I have not understand what is the position of developers, perhaps owing to my English. :p :p :p
