I use Asus v3800 Pro deluxe with Video IN and TV-Out (TNT 32MB).
I run Win98 on P4 1.4GHz on Intel 850 board with 512 RDRAM. I use the capture facility (ASUS Capture Driver 2.0) a lot to capture TV programs and for converting VHS tapes. I use driver version 5.3
The setup works very well and I am happy with it.
However, from time to time I get this urge to upgrade to WinXP-pro or use the newer nVidea drivers. I have not been able to do so since none of the new drivers support the capture feature of the ASUS v3800 card. There seems to be a problem with the overlay controls, I think. The inf files of the newer drivers remove the ASUS Capture driver instead of installing it.
I have communicated extensively with ASUS tech support. They advised me to install the newest WDM driveres along with the nVidea drivers. This does not work.
I will be grateful if any one has a solution for running this card under WinXP-Pro.
Thanks in advance for your help.
