put jpeg photos and sound on cdr

I have big trust in the knowledge in this forum so i hope someone have an answer to this. ;)
I have a photodisc with jpeg pics (watcheble on dvd)
And what I want is to add music to this photos, burn it to a cdr and be able to play it in my standalone dvd player.
Is there a way to do this?
If so, what program(s) do I need?

I never did this myself, so I'm not sure if this would work...
You could probably make a VCD from the pictures, and add a mp2-audio track to it...
You can use VCDEasy to convert your pictures to MPEG-stills, in the "Interactivity"-area of VCDEasy you should be able to set the lenght of each item...
This should work...
Try a search on "VCD Photo JPEG" or related terms...

PS.: Of course this means some work, because you have to assure that all pictures have the correct size... For PAL, best resize to something near 768*576, then add borders (resize canvas) in Photoshop till you have exactly 768*576, and then create the stills...
This way they should have the correct AR...

I didn't read those, so don't blame me if your player starts to burn or something similar ;)

PS.: They doesn't seem to care about the correct aspect ratio, but I personally would care, because VCDEasy will stretch the pictures otherwise... (I mean the resizing - Addbordering to 768*576 or the respective NTSC-resolution... 720*540).

Apparently, if you want to have contigous background music, then you will have to use the XVCD-method...
You can of course use the standard-framerate, if you don't want to risk that the player plays your VCD with 25x "fastmotion" :)

PS.: Consider to change the GOP-length in TMPEG, because there is no need for a new I-frame every half a second...

PPS.: The man who wrote the guide to the XVCD uses a program called MovieXone to create an avi for TMPEG... (Never heard of it before...)
This step is of course not necessary, you can just use avisynth with the new Imagereader or the Imagesequence-plugin...
You can adjust the framerate with "assumefps"...

Sure is alot of work to do what I want.
Some of the programs you mension Ive never even used. I think I´ll have to take a vacation from reallity for a day or two to sit by my PC and sort this out:p

If I remember correctly, you can create a pictureshow with audio using winoncd...
I don't use winoncd, but I think I read this somewhere...
Maybe you want to check it out?
