DVD Freezed Frames - Jumps...

Hi all,
sorry for my english, it isn't so good...
A couple of months I try to solve some troubles with playback of created DVD backups. After authoring DVD, movies sometimes freezes (1x-5x during movie playback). It's like little jump with freezed frame for 1-3 seconds. This jumps are not accidental, because I found them again exactly at same scenes when i repeated playback.

I hvent this problems with original DVDs. This problem has nothing to do with burning or burned DVD, or DVD-ROM, because same freezing frame jumps appears during direct playback from HDD too - It is playback of DVD layout outputs created directly by DVD authoring program, not some backward copy from burned DVD to HDD!).

Original DVDs - Region 2, PAL, 720x576, 25fps
Affected examples:
Harry Potter I - Progressive Frames, ZigZag, Nonlinear, Top Field First
Spiderman - Interlaced, Alternate, Nonlinear, Top Filed First - This movie produces same issue even with reauthoring of original *.m2v amd AC3 streams - strange, it seems that point is not at MPEG transcoding, but with DVD authoring or joining subtitles streams?
Number of tracks on my output DVD backups: 1x m2v, 1x ac3, 1x subtitles)

I use following tools with options (used for example at Harry Potter I):

DVD Decrypter 3.1.6.0
- for RIP at IFO Mode

VOB Edit 0.6
- extracting M2V and AC3 streams

SubRip 1.17
- RIP of subtitles into Scenarist

DVD to AVI 1.77.3
- exprort original *.m2v stream to *.d2v
Tested options:
[iDCT Algorithm]: SSEMMX (IEEE-1180 too)
[Color Space]: YUV 4:2:0
[Process priority]: Normal priority (High priority too)

VFAPI 1.05
- expoted *.d2v to VFAPI *.avi

CCE 2.50 Retail (tested 2.62 Trial and 2.64 Trial too)
- input VFAPI *.avi
Tested options:
General:
Elementary stream
3x pass (2x pass tested too)
Min. Bitrate: 2000
Max. Bitrate: 9000 (Tested 8500,8000,7500)
Avg. Bitrate: 3728 (from BitCalc, but I tested lower values too - 3700, 3720 etc.)
Video:
Add sequence end code - on
Upper field first - off (tested on too)
ZigZag Scaning order - on
Progressive frames - on
DVD Compliant - on
Others options I have always off (unchecked)
GOP:
IBBPBBPBBPBB (1 x 4)
Others options I have always off (unchecked)
Quality:
Complex vs. Flat - 10 (tested 0,5,15,25 too)
Antinoise filter - off (Unchecked, greyed)

DVD Authoring usually I do with Scenarist, but I tested DVD Maestro and IfoEdit methods too, but with same results - same freezing at same scenes. Scene position of freezed jumps changes only when I transcode whole m2v again. I don't use any CSS encryptions, region or playback restrictions, I am not fool...:o)))

I heard about some crazy TopField Feature (or Bug...) at CCE that affects it's output MPEG2. So I tried to Use ReStream (I checked only correct sequence extension, others option on default). Result was that freezing frames moves to another positions... :o((( It is foolish... Same procedure I repeated with DVMPEG Fixer, it has same results as ReStream...

Usually I watch DVDs on PowerDVD XP, but I tried WinDVD Platinum...

So, did someone of you see this? Do you have any idea, tips or trick how to solve it?

I have the following remark to make and a question that appeared while reading your post.

Your settings r all correct as well as the others that u have tested too, except the TFF in CCE, but they can't produce an error like this.

U say that these freezing/jumps appear in the exact same spot regardles of the authoring program u used.
Did u try to incorporate the original ifos to the output of the authoring program using ifoupdate or the output itself is jumpy?
If u try to play the new authored vobs by themselves, does the freezing occur or not.

Have u made a small menu to navigate to your movie and test the title set that Scenarist or Maestro produces?
