I feel like a mentally challenged person posting this but I cant figure out how to get the Nth pass to work in Gknot .28x. It says select a log file, but.... there are none because i havnt encoded yet? What do i need to do to use Nth pass? (yes i have searched the forums, apparently noone has this problem but me) Any pointers on what the correct setup for Nth pass is? I feel like ive tried everything I can and it wont let me. Version of Divx doesnt matter, ive tried 5.0.3 - 5.0.5. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. I saw that thread already, I was looking for a way to choose Nth pass from the start and have Gknot do that, I could select Nth pass in Autodub without doing the 1 pass first, it would do all that for you, I was thinking I could do the same in gknot, am I incorrect?

Grrrr. I just installed 5.0.5 again and now i cant check any of the pro features (yes i installed pro), i can set bidirectional encoding to 1 in the registry but it goes back to 0 when i open up them config tabs. i noticed if i dont open them and start encoding, it stays at 1. so is it using bidirectional encoding even though it wont let me check it?

bah, nevermind this. i got it somehow :)

Hi,
you want to start with a nth pass run without doing the 1st pass, (in case you have already done the 1st pass)?

Save the avs-file in GK
Start VDM and load the avs manually.
Go to video - compression - configure Divx Pro - choose multipass, nth pass and you are set.
Run job.

Perhaps I did not get your point.

Yeah kinda, I just thought that I was able to select Nth pass from the start, I wasnt aware that I had to do a One pass first, Autodub wasnt that way, so I assumed Gknot was, maybe that was the error :) i used gknot .21 then autodub till .28 came out. Oh well. Thanks anyways.
