I'm trying to make 720x480 MPEG1 files for use on systems where installing updated codecs isn't an option. Bitrate needs to be about 2500, max.
Thing is, the files I've created don't play well with Media Play 6.4. moving the position slider works but the display isn't refleting this in realtime.
Does anyone know how to make the two play friendly? ASF files zip along but the M$ encoeer seems to peek at a bit rate of about 1500 which isn't good enough for my DV source.
The idea is to make files that cdan be played on just about any Windows 9x or greater machine I might encounter in an office settings. Hence, Media Player 6.4 is a must. So is the slider.
Ideas?
