16MB dvdlab11.exe
thanks to Rombaldi over on dvdlab forum for the tip.
I plan on using this to author dvd2dvd-r projects instead of scenarist. See if it's easier...plus if you perfect the process then it's simply setup and burn. Major limitation right now is only 1 audio but I guess that's ok as usually I only do AC3 5.1 English anyway but for some that'd be a showstopper. No sub title import yet either.
I've got about 30 days to decide if it's worth the $79 introductory price which I imagine I'm going to end of purchasing this excellent software. Also want to author home dvds made from mini-dv source material too.
This software has AWESOME help file / tutorial included to get your started.

I'm confused. Does this program generate ifo files? How?

What do you mean by "generate ifo files " ?
This software generates a complete DVD structure from the files you fed it with, including all IFO, BUP and VOB files, ready to burn to DVDR with your favorite burning software.
Is that what you meant ?

When I compiled a dvd from imported vob files it didn't generate any ifo files.

in case you are barely getting started there is a main movie only guide with dvdlab here in case you don't make it over to the one-click forum ever.

Just tried this with a VCD file (xxx.mpg at 1.1Mbps a la VCD specs so 44.1 audio) which works in TMPEG Author & U-lead.
DVDLab correctly noted it was an 'odd' size 352x288 for DVD but let me author it.
It cretaed TS_Video etc but no VOBs, no IFOs and no error msgs.
and where IS the log in this prog?
brgds

no on the multi vts so far.... i tried to add the dolby digital intro(4x3) to the beginning of a movie that was (16x9) and it said that i need a authoring program that supports multi-vts. And, if i were to proceed it would make the main movie 4x3 as well.
