First of all, I love your program, it generates some of the best output I have seen so far, at a great speed. The only problem that stops me from using it all the time is the fact that these DVD's are GB's in space. I just cannot afford to cram my hdd that full..

if it would be possible to incorporate DVDx's caching technique into dvd2svcd it would be that one step closer to ultimate perfection (mind you it's very close already) ;)

No need to do that, because I wont but more importantly I can't do it. Why? Because the encoder is external and not internal like DVDx is. Therefor I cannot control anything if the files isn't ripped prior to the conversion and since the encoder (or actually the frameserver dvd2avi/avisynth) can't decrypt a DVD it's not possible to do.

I think the general consensus is that if you've got a computer new enough for reasonable-duration conversions in the first place, you're not at a lack for hard drive space ;)
