Hi everybody,

to all those guys which developed that fine tools like besweet, azidts, the GUI stuff, dts dds filters... I would like to say thank you!!

With the board and some guides I managed to convert 14 tracks of a live concert from single VOB-files (original DTS 48khz) into single tracks in DTS-WAV (44.1 khz) - quality simply perfect :D

Now the problem:

as I start burning those tracks with the latest version of NeroBurning (DAO) with NO PAUSE between, everything went fine - but as I replay the disc every DVD standalone player (I tried for diffrent) stops at the beginning of the tracks for about a half of second (exception track one).

My first thought was - burning error but take 2-4 (2 of them with WinOnCD6) brought no changes.
I convert an 2 other tracks from live-concert (ac3) to DTS-WAV with the same result.

Do you know what went wrong? Does this error got something to do with the streamheadder - I think even mp3-files to CDDA have the same behaviour on same burning constelations??

Thx Daphy from Germany

Thx DSPguru for spending time!!

Two ideas to this topic

Maybe this error only apear if the VOB files would be split while ripping them from DVD

-> the cut positions by smartripper or dvd encrypter (<- stopped further development? am I right  ) produces defect frames at the beginning of the tracks.

(@hypercube
maybe I should try your DTSParser first?!?)

-> so lets convert the hole piece in one go to DTS-WAV

next problem: how to cut a DTS-WAV?

ill guess, because of the both PCM-streams it must be possible to cut the whole concert in single tracks by using any audio editing software like cool edit, wavlab... for those applications the pcm tracks are wired nevertheless this should work?!? Alternative one can use surcode as well but its not very comfortable!

Are there better posibilities known to handle DTS-WAVs (cut, merge, fade in/out, normalize ...)?

second idea - this error depends on my CD writer, ive got a Yamaha F1 (IDE).
Did anyone got the same trouble (under the same constelations, of course) with this device?

Thx Daphy from Germany

I think it's your standalone player, because I had the same problem.
Some players need time for every track to determine what it is (DTS, normal Stereo, DD etc.).
I upgraded a few months ago and had no problems anymore !

Try your disc on another standalone first !

Hi,
Iallways thought I got an up-to-date player (KISS DP450), but the same problems ocurre with a Philips DVD, Cyberfun (or Cyberhome from my neighbor) and a Pioneer - so may be it depends on thoses players or really on the recording - I would try as next a Yamaha player from a friend of mine!!!
