1) this is not really a big problem, but annoying anyway: gknot always 'forgets' the path where vdubmod sits ): so i have to specifiy it before each encode again.

2) after finishing 2nd pass i get an access violation error in vdubmod. it doesn't do any harm, the movie turns out just fine and when i hit ok, gknot restarts vdubmod for the 3rd pass, but it doesn't go on until I hit ok, which again is annoying as i usually encode overnight.

here's my system:
PIV @2.0
512 MB DDR Ram
WinXP Home + SP1
GKnot .28.2
VDubMod 1.5.11a
Avisynth 2.51b 160403

it happens both with divx 5.05 and Xvid 03052003

I have the same problem as your problem 1. I don't know if it's already well known or what the situation is.

Could it perhaps be because we have it at a non-default location?

What's with those "don't check" boxes? I haven't seen any use of them yet. What am I missing?

well i do not have it at the default location either...

anyway, wanted to add that the same problem (as 2) appears after the end of the third pass too...

after i hit ok, it muxes correctly and the video plays like a charm!

PS: this has happened to me up until now with xXx and 8 Mile, both region 1, with Force Film done in dvd2avi - don't know if that matters!

that's already fixed in CVS for 0.28.2 beta 2 (should be out soon)

vdubmod 1.5.11a has this problem which was fixed by Suirys...
you have to use version of vdubmod which comes with GK, not separate installation (we have unofficial binary of VDubMod with 0.28.2 beta)
