Another "Check Condition" error in DVD Decrypter

Had v. 3.1.5, got error.
Upgraded to 3.1.6, still get error.

Was reading Babylon 5 - Season 1, Disc 5 on a SONY DVD RW DRU-500A. (Brand new disc, with absolutely NO scratches, blemishes or fingerprints)

Got "check condition" error

Here's the log from the last time I ran it, and tried to "ignore" after the error:

Look...you're drive is complaining that it cant read a sector.

You've got the problem right there.

Some drives just dont read as well as others. Some just dont like certain discs.

Yours has a problem with your 'new' copy of Babylon 5. There isnt much I can do about it.

The problem isnt with the program, its with your drive / the media.

You're right.

I tried it with SmartRipper last night, and it stopped in the same VOB file.

Strange though, as it doesn't affect play in my DVD player or PS2 at all, and there's no visible flaw in the disc.

Never compare what a pc dvdrom can or cannot read to a standalone. Those machines are built to read *anything* ! PC dvdroms are built for accuracy as they dont just play video. You cant have data missing from a file (PC DVDROM), but you can have data missing from a video steam (Standalone).

Also, as I said, some drives are just better at reading than others. If you have access to another one, try it in there.

As for smartripper erroring out...did you really think it wouldnt?
Where it probably comes up with a generic 'file locked. Unlock and try again' error, mine displays the *true* error. If the drive cant read a sector, no program in the world is going to change that except in fluke circumstances.

if you have an older copy of dvd decrypter i suggest u trying that out too. sometimes when the newest one bombs i use version 3 instead and it would usually work out hehe.

Thats great, but it wont effect this in the least.
