Greetings,
Here’s a desperately simple question I’ve searched the guides and forums to answer in vain. Under “Go!” in the Conversion tab of DVD2SVCD one can choose “Rip and convert” or “Rip only (Batch prepare)”. Logically, one would expect a third choice, “Convert only (Previously ripped files)”, but, alas, there is none, and I’ve searched in vain for any instructions on how to have DVD2SVCD pick up the job at the Convert stage once you’ve previously run “Rip only (Batch prepare)”. How is this done? (Told you it was desperately simple.) I would like to rip during the day and convert overnight.
And on the subject of splitting back-up jobs into pieces – am I correct in observing that there seems to be no way to “pause” DVD2SVCD mid-process? There isn’t even a “Quit” or “Exit” button anywhere that I can find. Suppose you need to stop a ten-hour back-up job and would like to come back to it later without starting from the beginning. The only way out I’ve been able to think of is to shut down the program with Task Manager (simply toggling “Close” won’t close it down) and come back later and pick it up at the nearest crash recovery point. This seems awfully brutal.
Thanks,
Milehigh
