Ok, lets face it, the number of "One-clickers" out there at the moment is immense and getting bigger by the day. I put the term "One-Clicker" in quotes because as everyone knows there is still no such product at the moment and they all have their little niggles. It seems that many people have their preffered product, based on what they want to achieve, their patience, their quality thresholds etc etc.

Just to test the water here I was thinking it might be useful if the forum was to put its collective thoughts together on a product comparison which would help both newbies and others alike. At the moment we have had a number of comments in various threads but we just do not have a really comprehensive round-up anywhere - one which could be put on a Sticky and updated as the new updates are added.

If the overall view is positive I am happy to come up with a sensible set of criteria / user profiles which we could use as the basis for this.

Comments please!

I agree such a Sticky would be useful in the form of a table or chart or dare I say "matrix", listing each program and it's features. You know the type with the programs down the left side and a list of features across the page and then a tick, cross or comment (fast, slow, buggy, sizing issues, free, demo, $$$ etc...) to list what each program can and can't do.

Then people can read this and decide what THEY are looking for in a one-clicker (fast or quality or keep whole DVD or delete bits or burn direct from program, or free, or split movie etc..) Then they can choose one that has the feature set they are looking for.

I know that such a thing would have made life easier for me when I started out. Also it would be useful when a new product is released, so we can see how it compares to the ones we know.
