Hi!
I'm trying to merge around 15 or so avi files. The problem is that some of this files apperantly have diffrente sampling rates (guessing it's PAL and NTSC formats thats diffrente). Can you still, with another program then VirtualDub that I'm using, merge theese files?
Or can you change the sampling rate of an avi file??

Hm.. I had a program that could tell which type of fps it was, but I can't seem to find it. Any idea what this program is called?

And yeah.. I'm a newbie :)

Thanks!

/Andreas

no sorry afaik there's no problem to merge these files. you will have to reencode at least some of them.
if you reencode them to have the same framerate (not sampling rate :) and if they all have the same resolution you can merge them!

wait... perhaps you could try aligning them with avisynth, but i doubt it will work...

oh btw, the program is called gspot (:

Hi and welcome to the forum-

killingspree's right. You're going to have one hell of a time getting them all joined together as one .avi. They all have to be exactly the same-framerate, codec, resolution, audio type and bitrate, etc. Your best bet may be to make an SVCD from them for play either in your standalone DVD player (if it supports SVCD) or on the computer.

Some players (such as the BS Player) support the inclusion of a playlist within the CD that you burn, so that they'll all play one after another. By doing that you don't have to join them.

GSpot's (http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Editing/gspot22.zip) the program you need to tell you what each one is. And here's Doom9's AVI2SVCD Guide (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/dvd2svcd-avi.htm).

Okey, thanks both of you for your help!
I guess I've have to go and re-think, cause SVCD is no option I'm afraid. But thanks a lot anyways for the help!!

Stupid .avi files.. :/

And oh.. Manono, thanks for the welcoming! :)
