Burning too fast? What burning sw are you using and at what speed? Possibly crappy media aswell - used that brand before?

DVD2SVCD creates .bins and .cues so you should be using CDRWin or mounting the images with Daemon Tools and copying with CloneCD if CDRWin doesn't work.

Oh and I've also seen standalone players (crappy brands) that say they support VCD/SVCD but in fact play them back how you describe no matter what you do - how these things make it to the shelf I'll never know. Cheap-ass player?

the player i tried is able to play other ripped dvds that i have(i did not make them tho) it is weird that it would not play it but the pc dvd player would.

i am letting the program make bin files and am burning at 12x with cdrwin, using princo cds if that is of any help.

If its not the player, all I can suggest is check your bitrates - make sure the bitrate for you video+audio doesn't exceed 2778 KB/s as per the SVCD standard. Also, maybe your player requires your SVCDs to be burned in a different way - there are 2 different directory structures you can use for SVCDs. I don't recall what both are exactly but if you use Nero it gives you the option.

Oh and another thing to try is get Daemon Tools and mount the images then play them in PowerDVD and make sure they work aswell as the MPEGs - could be dodgy images.
