One of my DVD got some scratches and I though its time for it to backup before I loose the movie. When I tried to back it up, the D2S is not able to interpret the IFO file correctly.
Here's what's wiered with this IFO file. The movies has 6 VOB files. The movie starts from the middle of 3rd VOB file which D2S detects properly but after reaching the end of 6th VOB file, the movies continues back from 1st VOB file and goes the middle of 3rd VOB files. D2S only extracts the half movie by reading upto the 6th VOB file.
If required (if moderators accept it) I can ZIP and attach this IFO file. I am not attaching it now since I don't know whether I can do this or not and I don't want to get banned considering it as an illegal action.
I have already ripped the movie using Smart Ripper 2.41 on my hard disk. I had to trick Smart Ripper also since the movie comes back to 3rd VOB from where it starts. So my 3rd VOB was overwritten first time. What I did is rippedthe whole movie in one folder. Then started ripping the whole movie in another folder. When the smart ripper ripped the 3rd VOB file (the begining of the movie and started ripping 4th VOB file, I stopped it. Then I renamed the VOB file in this another folder to VOB_02_01.VOB from VOB_01_03. I renamed all my VOB files ripped in first folder from VOB_01_* to VOB_02_* and arranged them in proper order and loaded them in DVD2AVI. Then I did a quick scan using the slider at the bottom and I now have a complete movie in proper order. The only problem now is how can I manually convert the movie? Any help here will be appreciated. If someone can help to fool D2S my tweaking the D2S file and the INI file, I think its possible.
Please help its a good challenge ...
