can't select audio-stream and subtitles

Hi,

don't tell me that i should push the "Remove P-Ups" button. There are not user prohibitions in the IFO files. Any DVD Software-Player (PowerDVD, WinDVD, some player on MacOSX) don't allow selecting audio-language and subtitles.

Is there any trick do enable it?

I'm not sure, but I think you can't do it when you watch a film with softwares like PowerDVD in file mode.I think it's possible just in disk mode, and to do it you have to create an image of the DVD with ImgTools and then mount it with Daemon Tools. You can find them on Doom9 download page (http://www.doom9.org/software.htm) ;)

well, i know that this is possible with SVCDs.
i also burned the files to DVD-R disk, and i still cannot select subtitles/audio.
i have no clue, why this isn't possible. i guess that the IFO files generated/modified by DVDShrink are not 100% OK.
if selection is not possible without a menu, how would i ever be abled to select the played language or the sub-titles?

Language and subtitle selection is usually allowed on standalones' remote controllers.Are streams' languages specified in your IFO files?If not maybe your standalone won't recognize them (just shooting in the dark), so specify them by right-clicking on them in IFOEdit (in VTS_01_0.IFO, not sure if necessary also in VIDEO_TS.IFO).
If it doesn't work try to create new IFO files with IFOEdit (again specify streams' languages): maybe you're right about DVDShrink not being good for that ;)

I just got a newer version of PowerDVD and now I can select languages and subtitles even when I play files from my HD, so your problem must be incorrect IFO files

Actually when Ifoedit says there are none it only looks in one place.
There IS a place in the IFO where Prohibition can "hide".

Its in VMGM_PTT_SRPT "Title # Playback Type" - this can be "60" or "20" or "0" from what I've seen and is normal.
If however its "61" you have prohibited "Time Play or search"
There are probably a lot of other numbers for the various limitations.

Try changing to "20" - you have to click out of this page and back in again to refresh the view.
