God is this forum slow at the moment...

Hi, looking for samples from a Leadtek TV XP 2000 through S-Video.

I am looking for another card (will be the fifth) and all I want is pure quality via S-VHS. It is the best way I can capture from digital satellite (no-one debate that issue please). It is just impossible to find good samples.

Ideally PAL and at 720x576. I'd also be interested to speak to anyone with the card. Please drop a line if you have one and are willing for a chat.

Yours, Anticipating Response.

i can try and do that for you in the next week. because using the coax in for analog cable gives me tons of noise... so i was told this might reduce it alot ... just have not had a chance to try it out... also was suggested that fans might cause the noise issues we are getting... sounds of the wall but you never know.... im thinking about skipping the pc cards all together and using one of these two external or something like it. (well it uses a firewire card or your internal firewire)

Dazzle Hollywood DV-Bridge
Canopus ADVC-100

Both are external boxes that take S-video and RCA video and audio.
They both connect to the pc with 1394(firewire)
and a plus to using these cards is that the captured video is DV so it is pretty good compresed and still looks great. atleast to me it does.

i would use this to capture TV and VHS. im tired of the problems the pc cards are giving me and as the looks of it many others too. but im still not sure if this would be the end all solution.
