I use various DVD9 to DVDR backup tools (mainly DVD Shrink & DVDXCopy) but I use mainly Nero to burn the resulting files/folders and/or ISO image from these tools. Is this method okay? Are there any possible problems doing it this way?

TIA

IMHO, if it works for you and your stand-alone player, then it's A-OK!:D Keep in mind that there are other factors involved that could give you coasters like improper editing, bad media, corrupted software, etc...

Have you had lots of success on your previous DVD backups using your consistent method? I hope yes. That's why I always say in my guides to burn what works for you. The only problem I see is if you play it on different mulitple players. But that's a given. I haven't heard of any story that depicts a certain backed up DVD that played successfully on EVERY DVD Player manufactured to date.

Thanx

I've had only success with this method (DVD UDF 1.02). Plays in my 3 year old dvd player, xbox, playstation and all the dvd players I tried at my electronic store (doesn't work in sony's multi-function dvd dream player though).

Thanx again
