Mpeg 2 compression

Hello. I've recently ripped three large Mpeg2 files to harddrive,from an SVCD, and would like to know if they're's way I can compress the size to fit on two cds, for later burning. Is their any freeware, shareware that can do this? Perhaps EO video? Thanks.

Depends what you want to do with them and where you want to play them.

If you are happy to play them on your computer you could re-encode them at a lower bitrate or lower resolution or maybe re-encode them as divx.

If you want to retain them in SVCD format you could only re-encode them at a lower bitrate (for the audio as well as video) and try to get the file sizes down that way.
