Hello everyone! I just wanted to make sure. I am ripping a PAL DVD. I ripped it using DVD Decrypter. Running DVD2AVI (right now) will encode it using CCE. I mean do I have to set any special settings. Do the Specs. allow it. Will a NTSC 25.000 fps play on all NTSC DVD Players or will it not play on any :D Or should I run pulldown.exe or something. Thanks.
Note: I live in USA-NTSC.

If your dvd player can convert from PAL to NTSC then you can keep the framerate and resolution the same and make a PAL DVD. If it does not then you must convert to NTSC. There is no such thing as an NTSC DVD at 25fps, it will play on nothing.
You will need to change your resolution from 720x576 to 720x480 and you must slow it down to 23.976fps. This is done easily enough through avisynth. You will of course have to add 2:3 pulldown flags to the stream also in pulldown.exe.
As for the audio, that's a little more tricky. I believe you would have to decompress the AC3 files to wav, and then you could use BeSweet's built in regional conversion options while encoding back to AC3.

search this forum with "PAL to NTSC and NTSC to PAL"
It works fine for me.
I'm surprised the above thread is not a sticky yet.
