View Full Version : demuxing the videostream?
i've got some no-anamorphic dvds with 4:3 subtitles making it impossible to zoom on my widescreen tv..
i wanna change the subtitle placement by re-authoring them.. they are dvd-5 so i don't have to re-encode..
with what program can i demux the videostream to a format i can use in dvdmaestro?

If I uderstand you right you want to change only subtitles in your copy, donīt you? If the answer is yes then you can use DVD Decrypter or Smartripper for demuxing into *.m2v :).
ah sweet.. i'm already using dvddecrypter... didn't know is can demux the videostream (:

Yeah, itīs pretty easy. Just switch to IFO mode select proper PGC and choose Stream processing, select desired video, audio or subtitle and check demux.
when i do that it demuxes the videostream but it doesn't demux the other streams.. i only get a .m2v, a .vob and a .ifo
y doesn't it demux the audio streams or the subtitles?

Itīs easy. You have to click to each stream (audio and/or subtitle) and select demux. So if you want video + 2 audio + 3 subtitle streams you have to click on video and select demux, click on audio 1 stream and select demux, click on audio 2 stream and select demus,..., click on subtitle 3 stream a nd select demux.
Otherwise all unselected streams remain in vob file.
You have to do this for each PGC or angle everytime :(.
