I just made a scvd of Shallow Hal, for which I did a quick search for the cover art.The size of the picture is 650x650. After burning the svcd,I popped it in my dvd player and after a long whirr and buzz session, the dreaded "no disc" message came up.:scared: I've made several svcds before, but I think this is the largest picture ever used? Is there a max size in pixels that can be used? And if so, is there a way to edit "something, somewhere" so that I dont have to re-encode the whole movie again?

What do you use for Authoring/Burning?

The Max-Size of a Still-Picture (Menu also) is 704x576 PAL or 704x480 NTSC.
A couple of Players do not like this, so it's a good Idea to use the SVCD-Resolution for the Picture.

Sorry for the lack of info. I'm using svcd2dvd 1.1.3 build 2. I got the rippack from here just last week so I think everything is current. I use Nero to burn the bin/cue files. The titlepic I used is a 650x650 jpg. I previously used a 266x393 jpeg for Silence of the Lambs and it worked fine. I think when I burned xmen2, dvd2svcd griped about pic not being a bmp, but it has worked with jpgs on last 4 or 5 svcds. Hope this helps, its not a big problem, just nice to know for future reference. Kinda new to svcds, but have been messing with divx for a couple years now.
