hi all,

i have just tried to open an svcd file with tmpgenc and i get the message format not supported.is there any way i can open an svcd file so i can convert it,say by downloading a plugin or something else.

Yup, ... if you can watch in via MediaPlayer, then you can open it with TMPGEnc. You have to change the VFAPI priorities - try this :

DirectShow Multimedia File Reader.......3
AVI2(OpenDML) File Reader................1
AVI VFW compatibility Reader.............0
CyberLink MPEG-2 Decoder.................0
Microsoft MPEG-1 Decoder.................0
Wave File Reader..............................0
BMP/PPM/TGA/JPG File Reader...........-2

TMPGEnc Project File Reader 2.58......-2*

the way i do it is 2 use dvd2avi 2 seperate the audio and 2 make a d2v file
then use tnpg 2 open the d2v file as video source and the mpa file what dvd2avi made as the audio and it allways works 4 me
