hi,

i'm totally lost.
I used DVDShrink to shrink the AmericanBeauty DVD. The DVD contains an Englisch and a German Audio Stream. English is default :-(

When playing the original DVD, neither PowerDVD nor WinDVD grant it, to select the Audio-Langauge while playing the DVD.
It's the same with the DVD generated by DVDShrink :-(

I read obout removing the user prohibitions from the IFO files, but IfoEdit tells me, that the IFO files generated by DVDShrink don't contain any prohibitions.

1. How can i change the default stream to be the german one?
2. How can i enable the selection of the Audio-Stream while playing the DVD?

Thx
Sven

P.S. i also can't select the subtitles :-(

DVD players choose a language for you based on your preferences, but you must setup the player. If you do not setup the player you will get the first language on the DVD.
Failing that all DVDs with multiple languages have a menu to choose audio and subpicture language. This is done before starting the movie.
However, if you want, you can unlock all the buttons on your remote with IfoEdit and the Remove P-UPs button.

Also DVDToolBox since version 0.13.1 (I believe) has the option to select what Default audio or subtitle language you wish to have start. DVDToolBox always removes User Prohibitions.

As i sait, there are no user prohibitions in the IFO files hat DVD Shrink generated and i cannot select the language of the audio stream in PowerDVD. Without the the Menu i can only listen to the default language - which is English in most cases. I have a Language-Option in WinDVD, but this enables the SubTitles by default (stupid player) and would never be abled to listen to the 3rd Audio-Stream which is the Directors Comment.
