I am still trying to make a copy of a DVD AND preserve the scene selection functionality at the beginning of the movie. Using DVD decrypter I can unlock the movie and with DVDToolbox I can create 2 DVD's of comparable video quality. However, as I learned later, DVD Toolbox does not keep the scene selection feature.
Next, I bought a copy of Pinnacle System's Instant Copy and made a single DVD-5 copy. It seemed to work OK and the quality was reasonable, but I still lost the scene selection feature. It seems to me that I still should have been able to select the scenes with this method because all of the scenes are on the same DVD.
However, in thinking about it, I realized that the LBA translations would be different from the original, and Instant Copy might not correct for this. Anyway, here's my question:
Is there a way using Instant Copy, that I can make a DVD-5 version of a DVD-9 disk and still have the scene selection feature?
