Hi all,

Ok I guess this question is quite common but I have not been able to find an answer for it yet.

I have loads of Divx files and I want to convert them back to DVD. At the moment I am looking for a all-in-one style program that is really simple to use.

Can anyone recommend one to me?

Thanks

Personally, I use DVD2SVCD for this as you end up with a DVD compliant MPEG for each episode you feed it. Batch jobs can also be set up to do all your episodes one after the other without constant button-pushing. DVD2SVCD is available for download on doom9 and it has its own forum here.

Depending on what authoring program you are going to use (I recommend Sonic Foundry's DVD Architect) DVD2SVCD will give you an MPEG and the AC3/mpv files if you wnat to do it a different way.

yeah but isn't that for converting from DVD? I want to convert back to DVD from an AVI. I saw a couple of guides but these seem to involve a number of different programs that seems quite a lengthly proceedure.

Is there an all-in-one program or am I hoping for to much?

Thanks

The problem is starting from avi you have no menues or interactivity, so you must create this. The very simple authoring programs (like MyDVD and DVDit) that come with burners create simple menues to give you a basic DVD. Other programs such as Ulead's Video Studio are easy to use, as well.

No, in DVD2SVCD you can have either DVD as the input type or AVI. You could use an authoring program to do your encoding for you but we all know that the results are never as good as using CCE.
