In that case you can use Gordian Knot http://gordianknot.sourceforge.net to crop you video.

You might want to check out Virtualdub from http://virtualdub.org, its quite fantastic in cropping, and yet so simple

cropping means cropping black borders, do you want to crop or cut and what's the target format

I have a blue line down the right hand side of my capture video and I wanted to remove it, by cropping that side.
