Hi egomez,
I am unsure about what are you trying to do, and may be I did not understand you.
Recently, I have ripped a Eric Clapton concert in order to make a standard Audio-CD (and also an mp3), WITHOUT VIDEO, and I was interested in split the songs (which are marked as chapters in the DVD). Is this your case?
This was my procedure (may be there is another/s shorter):
Well, I have used dvd2svcd, and after audio extraction, I killed it (as winxi is recommending you), but selecting DVD chapters in VCD Image tab. In this way dvd2svcd generates an ascii file "dvd2svcd chapters file.ini" with the frame number of the start point per any chapter (=song), so dividing by 25 (I was using PAL standard) I have obtained the starting point in seconds.
After, I used a tool to cut the file Extracted_audio_1.ac3 (I use BeSplit, is very simple and fantastic) in the different songs.
And then, using BeSweet, Iīve transcoded directly to wav and/or mp3.
Hope it helps
