AVI --> mv2+wav - Playback Problem

Trying to figure out how to use TMPGEnc but have some problems. Have a working .avi file and want to convert it to DVD-format. The AVI is created from NTSC source using "forced film". I want to convert from wide format into 4:3. All this works OK. I prepare the final IFO/Vobs using IFOEdit. Now the problem:
When playing the movie sound is out of sync and picture runs to quickly in PowerDVD. What could cause this problem?

I've played the .mv2 file that's produced by tmpgenc and it seems to run at the right speed. It seems that the problem comes from IFOEdit. Could it have something to do with conversion of framerate going from approx 24 frames/sec to 29 frames/sec? How do you fix it, if that's the problem?

I've been experiencing the same problem as you. I used TMPG 2.511 to encode a .avi to the .m2v and .wav streams and then use IFOedit to make the .vobs and .ifo's. The resulting video was sped way up by about 25%, the audio sounded alright. I went back and selected to encode to .m2v and .mp2 (vice .wav) and used IFOedit to make the .vobs and .ifo's. This way works fine. I'm not sure where the problem lies.

for some reason my personal view on this matter swings me towards not using the audio that TMPG spits out, but to use a self extracted audio using nandub then converted.

use besweet to get a .wav file out of the .avi
then tmpenc plus using the .avi for video, the .wav for sound
get the video and sound streams as seperate files from tmpenc plus

feed em into tmpenc dvd author for perfect results.
