I've searched the forum and followed the discussions long ago about 6 channel vorbis but am a little confused as to what happened to it. I see there is a setting to encode an ac3 into 6 channel vorbis, and I know that you need 6 channel anologue out, but is there anything else.
Has any developments been made twards this goal in regards to optimization or channel coupling. Is there a set specification as to channel mapping. Has this project turned out to be useless, or is it widely used just no one talks about it. Please fill me in as I would like to compress some of my ac3 files down in size.
