Has the internal VirtualDub box blur filter been ported to Avisynth?

Is there any avisynth filter/plugin which is like it? (Avisynth's internal blur filter, even when used repeatedly doesn't give me enough blur effect. Also tried the Convolution filter with the blur settings found in the documentation for avisynth 2.0x, but it is still nothing like VirtualDub's box blur.)

No, it has not been ported.

just a suggestion

try deen("a2d",3,200,250)

if that isnt enough play with edeen on a high radius and threshold, you should be able to find something good enough

Thanks for both replies,

I had trouble with deen and edeen. At high values of r, they both left noticable streaks at the top and bottom of the picture where there was no blurring. VirtualDub's box blur is more powerful, and I am using the Smart Deinterlacer VirtualDub plugin with RGBA input anyway, so want to avoid YV12. I have a proposal which I will be making in a new thread. Maybe someone will find it of interest.
