TemporalSmoother is too good to let go but need help now

I personaly could never find any filter that could replace TemporalSmoother for me and get the same result. I simply can not let it go, but at the same time its a pain that it dose not work with YV12 colorspace:( also its quiet slow (this is not after all that much important as I really like this filter)

my questions are:
1-Is there ever gonna be a version that would work in YV12 colorspace?

2-Is there any other filter that could give me the very same results and work in YV12 colorspace?

ps. I saw few threads on this subject but wanted to bring this subject back to life as I felt that it's been totaly forgoten for long now!

You have of course tried TemporalSoften which replaced TemporalSmoother in 2.5x? I've never personally compared them, so I don't know, but one would assume the Avisynth developers switched for a reason.

Someone correct if I'm wrong but...

I'm also sure there has always been temporalsoften even the versions 1 and below. Temporalsmoother is dividee's own filter and it is present in mpeg2dec.dll and temporalsmoother2 in another dll.

Ofcours I did, and I just wonder how TemporalSoften could REPLACE TemporalSmoother! as for me there was no way to get the same result trying every different settings with TemporalSoften :(

I really really apreciate the results I get with TemporalSmoother but at the same time I would prefere not to do the color conversion and also when using TemporalSmoother my encoding speed is about 15 to 17 fps but with TemporalSoften the same movie encodes at arround 35 to 30 fps!

I hope someone could help me find a good replacment for TemporalSoften or someone would at least make it work with in YV12 colorspace.

In my few tests TemporalSoften is less less prone to ghosting effect; simply speaking, really TemporalSmoother does at same time its good and dirty work (or you don't care about flatten surfaces or dot artifacts?).
Instead, I'm happy especially with the latest routine of TemporalSoften that works well even with radius=2 (thanx sh0dan!), this last is important for much realistic temporal average.

Ex.:
TemporalSoften(2,3,3,scenechange=10,mode=2) ;)
still gives very good results with no noticeable garbage/ghosting.
