View Full Version : Does DVD-R save DVB MPEG-2 directly?
Does anyone sold DVD recorder, which saves DVB broadcasts' MPEG2 signal as its own without re-encoding it? Because if the DVD-R machine encodes digital tv broadcast which is already encoded, there happens serious quality loss.

In theory yes ... but nothing Standalone ...
You should buy a DVB card on your computer, then record what you want, then demux using PVASTRUMENTO and remux the file in a compilant DVD MPEG 2 and then burn your DVD (yes, you can edit, cut off commercials and other before burning ...)
Try to search in HDTV/DVB forum
