I've got Sonic MyDVD (which came with my HP recorder) and it has served its purpose for quickly and reliably authoring home movie DVDs. I'm getting increasingly frustrated with the limitations of this very basic program though. I need something a little more powerful that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I like the fact that it burns right from the program instead of having to write the files then load of Nero (but that isn't necessarily a requirement as I don't mind using Nero).

I downloaded the DVDLab beta and it bombs with an abnormal program termination in the compile process with of course no indication as to the cause. Obviously this software is still quite 'green' and needs time to ripen.

So other than DVDLab, what would people recommend as a relibale and easy to use program for under $100 that offers more functionality than Sonic MyDVD?

Wich version of DVDlab you've downloaded? You sure you used the latest?

Under 100$? I doubt you'll find anything useful (except used software on Ebay etc.)... So, DVDlab i still without a competitor in that area.

Ulead DVD Workshop seems fine but it's much more expensive.

Cheers,

Mijo.

I'm using DVD Lab 1.0.0508

Sonic MyDVD burned the DVD using the same videos without a hitch.

keep in mind that DVD-Lab isnt finished yet, and this public beta is a good way for you to talk to the developer and make sure it works before you buy it.
