Hi, let's try this again. I've just released v1.0.1.2 which should fix most of the major problems generated with my last release ;)

W00p! Thanks for coming out with some fixes for us so expediently! I'll try the title that gave me issues with 1.0.1.1 on it soon.

Who keeps changing the topic. It's not right. It should be 1.0.1.2
BBWoof
Great job
Eyes: got your same setup and it's working fine for me now...

Thx for the "maintenance release". Someone's been quite busy lately :D
Still have another issue, but this is more related to ReAuthorist, so I posted it there...

However, at the moment I can only test with version 2.5.
My recommendation at this point would be to support version
2.67.09 instead of 2.67.07 since in version 09, quite some bugs of 07 have been fixed. Thats why I switched to 09 pretty soon after it came out.
Cheers

The next release will support 2.66.01.07 and 2.67.00.08-10. 2.66.00.09 is the only one I've tested.

Well, it works very well on my system. I've done few encodes and I haven't found any problems. So I don't have anything to complain. :D

I get an error when using the new DoCCE4U (1.1.0.2 beta). Even though I have CCE 2.50 installed, it still initializes EclCCE and I get the error:
EclCCE:
CCE did not finish initializing in a timely manner!
Error 126: The specified module could not be found.
Just wondering why it would invoke EclCCE if it's not needed?
Thanks again for an excellent program, I'll have to upgrade to the new CCE soon!
I'll try reinstalling DoCCE4U and see what happens. Since first pass takes an hour, I'll report back after that.
EDIT:
Reinstalling seemed to fix the problem intermittently. It worked once, and the second time it failed. I left all the settings default on the new install, but before I had the "Run CCE at low priority" checked. I don't think it was that... but who knows. Why does DoCCE4U add a path in the EclCCE .ini for CCE v2.50 if EclCCE is not required for this CCE version? I must be mistaken... but it just seems like a little bug to fix?!

Why? I just didn't feel like having to do things differently for a different version. RB thinks the 'timely manner' error is fixed in the new version of EclCCE. With CCE 2.66 I only get this error when I have it running in 'Idle' mode.

I'm using DoItFast 1.1.1, DoCCe 1.0.1.2, ReAuthorist 0.6.1 and
CCE 2.66.01.07.
The problems I'm having with DoCCe 1.0.1.2:
- The bias setting keeps on changing to a value of 10. Also the "Auto Determine Bias Setting" isn't determining the correct bias also. Once again it defaults to a value of 10.
- If you have loaded a file list, then delete the list, then load the same file list again, DoCCE won't be able to open the file list.
Only way I found for DoCCE to load the file list correctly again is to exit the program and start it up again.
Also a question about the quality setting...is it supposed to always be 40? Or should it adjust automatically?
Well those are the bugs I'm experiencing.
thanks for a great program.

Yeah, I think BBWoof already knows about that issue.
Workaround for that: you have to retype the avg Bitrate Setting (without "point" --> e.g. 3000 instead of 3.000), klick into another field and the bias will be re-calculated correctly.

Nope, IMHO 40 is way too high for most movies. The setting is not passed through by ReAuthorist at the moment either (called IQP in ReAuthorist).
I mostly use 16 or 17.

I think you are confusing QFactor and Image Quality Priority. The QFactor set at 40 is the Quantization Factor. This is the recommended value if you check out the RoBa encoding guide. It's used for the first pass. Then you also have the IQP or Image Quality Priority. That's the value you specify in RA. Since I didn't try the latest DoCCE4U, I don't know if it takes the value from RA, but I would think so.

Nope, he's right. DoCCE4U has QFactor 40, so far so good. But there's another Quality Setting now for Image Priority, which is also set to 40 by default.
It's not overwritten by the setting in RA.

Just installed version 1.0.1.3.
Got this error in the log screen...
"There were errors loading program system information!!!"
Does any know what this means?
Also is Avisynth v2.5.1 supported by DoCCE or is it only
version 2.0.8 fully compatible?
69Mws

It works fine for me with AVS 2.51, although I didn't get to install 1.0.1.3
Maybe try opening eclcce.exe in the installation directory and configure it again.
Maybe you have to delete eclcce.ini first, then open eclcce.exe and set there the path to your cce.exe

CCE dv2.66.1.07 found.
avisynth 2.0.8 found.
then this shows up which puzzles me...
"there were errors loading program system information!!!"

ok, deinstalled 1.0.1.2, installed 1.0.1.3, same error: "there were errors loading program system information".
I checked the registry.
It's because the Encoding-Templates have no names (RoBa, Multipass, etc.)
Give every template a name (first key in every template), restart DoCCE4U 1.0.1.3 and you don't get the error anymore.

Just a small issue:
RA 062 also creates a Datafile for DoCCE4U in another format. The first line contains a comment that this is a Datafile for DoCCE4U 1.0.1.3.
The Logwindow shows an error when reading this first line, import itself seems to be no problem nevertheless.

1. For what do you need this interval?
2. The open dialogue should be no more issue, since CCE is now controlled by the integrated eclcce. I have german Win2K with CCE 2.66.01.07 and it works without any problem.

The timer interval and open button text were for when I was monitoring CCE with a loop. They shouldn't be needed anymore and shouldn't have anything to do with your multipass problem.

I think he mentioned, that he already tried RoBa-Template.
I also think that the error is based on using CCE 2.50 with eclcce, but I'm not sure on that.
Maybe you need new options in the settings UI to point to CCE2.50 OR to eclcce (which has to be configured before with pointing to CCE 2.66 or whatever newer version).

Do you mean QFactor or Quality? Quality is explained in the CCE Manual. A lower setting will spend higher bitrate on scenes with much motion.
From what I know a setting from 16-40 (depending on the movie) is recommended. I usually set it to 17.
The possibilitiy to (de)activate Alternate Scan and Progressive is needed by us PAL guys, when we have to deal with interlaced material and don't wanna deinterlace.

I noticed you changed the renaming scheme on nopull items from .MPV.M2V to .MPV.MPV
any reason you don't just leave them .MPV?
69Mws
15th May 2003, 21:01
Two things:
The number of passes seems to be passed through now by RA, but the quality setting will still be taken from the template instead of RA.
Would it be possible that the settings are not reset to default, when changing the template after a Datafile has been loaded?
Keep up the great work!

Im using version 1.0.1.3. with reauthorist .0621 and noticed that it names files with the NOPULL embedded to .mpv.m2v and the .scp file produced by reauthorist points the NOPULL files with just the .mpv extention. I can manually rename the NOPULL files to .mpv but is there anyway that future versions of DOCCE4U leave the nopull files to .mpv extention vice .mpv.m2v or are you and aquabubble working on something not yet known to us - or am i an idiot :D

Aqua and BBWoof know about that issue, although I thought that it should work for NTSC properly and only PAL users are concerned with the renaming-issue, 'cause we never have to deal with pulldown on PAL sources.
If you like to ease up the process of renaming a little bit, just do the following:
- Open any texteditor
- type ren *.mpv.m2v *.
- save it with the ending "bat" (e.g. rename.bat)
All you have to do now is just copy this little batchfile into the directory where your "to-be-renamed-files" are located and execute it. Your files will be renamed to mpv again and you can delete the batch from the directory again.
That's quite useful when you have several demuxed PGCs in a demux-folder, so you don't have to rename them one-by-one manually.
