I love the response. It's like "Hey we aren't stealing credit card info, but we are selling illegal copies." They must be operating out of somewhere like Malaysia or be really really stupid.
BTW Arky your at 999 posts, only one more to go for 1k. Unless your old school and k=1024. :)

Actually, China and Malaysia are signatory countries to the Berne Convention. Hong Kong was not, but as it returned to mainland China, the Convention applies.
As far as I know, the country that currently is *not* signatory is Taiwan. http://www.copyrightaid.co.uk/berne_convention_signatories.htm

china may be signed to the berne convention, but that doesnt mean they obey the DVD-Forum licensing guidelines (and it is their dislike of the DVD format to begin with that brought SVCD to fruition).
