bad quality playback divX and Xvid Gknot 0.28

hi everybody
just installed gknot 0.28 and done rser dogs and green inh both divX and Xvid
both are full of noise (video) especially in the scene of the white shiney hall (H.Keytel+S.Buscemi but tried other files done with divx 5.02 and the black parts and skies are quite bad too) and ffdshow doesn't seem to make it better (both 1 cd rips). Before everything was fine although sometimes crashing but a lot of quakity (divx 5.02 and gknot 0.27)
I uninstalled ffdshow and when playing using divx 505 the quality was much better but could not get to play the xVid file but can play an old xvid i had done (wings of desire B&W)
any clue?
am i doing sumtin' wrong with settings?

1) Please be more specific and define what your problem is exactly. Bad quality (what exactly would that be)? Can't play specific videos? Both?
Could be my fault, but I didn't quite understand what the problem is.

2) Your settings could be the problem, or they may not be. But unless you tell us exactly what settings you've used we won't ever know.

i think it's called noise when the colors are not well defined
that's what i get, the settings are straight fwd except that i don't do the audio with gknot so that's only a video file and didn't use any filter but lanczos
