Ive read LOTS of stuff these past two weeks .Learned alot about vdub avisynth frameserving cce tmpgenc etc... I have a simple question . All I will be capturing for now since I have no camera is satellite movies and some of my vhs tapes . I can capture these thru dvd workshop as avi files or mpeg2 or whatever . The ultimate source is my DVD burner . Ive read enough about vhs to get a good idea of resolution etc but Im a little foggy on the best way to capture satellite . Im using svideo in on an ati allinwonder pentium3 866mhz 256mb rdram a 60 gig and a secondary 80gig hd . Can some recommend the best way to capture sat movies . Should I capture avi and then encode to mpeg2 . Is it worth the effort or should I capture straight to mpeg 2 . And heres the big question should I hassle with v dub (i have a post in the v dub section of my troubles currently with v dub)Or just use dvd workshop or even dvd movie factory 2 . Thanks
