Hi there
I am sure this must be a common problem but I cannot find it having been dealt with in enough detail in either the guides or the forums for my addled brain.
I am working on a movie that has the menu structure embededded within the main movie vob set, specifically in VTS_03_0.VOB. Basically there appear to be about 43 separate cells each of which has a separate menu 'screen' in it.
Originally I created a DVD2AVI project splitting out DTS and DD English audio streams and then used CCE to reduce the size of the video stream (incidentally is this last step called transcoding, as mentioned in the IFOedit guide ?). I then used pulldown to create a video file that DVDMaestro could deal with.
I then pulled the two audio and the video streams into DVDMaestro set a start point of the first chapter point. On compiling however the video and audio are not in sync.
I suspect that the problem is to do to the fact that audio tracks associated with the menus in the first VOB file and the menu screens are not properly set up.
I have been looking at the DVDMaestro guide and in particular the menu building sections. What I am struggling with however is how to extract each of the 43 menu cells in the first VOB file into a format that I can import as a DVDMaestro asset.
I was thinking of stripping out the first VOB file using IfoEdit but if I did this I would still not know how to split it into individual cells.
Am I on the right track here, and if so can somone please suggest how I can complete the process. Alternatively is there an easier way of doing this that I have not stumbled upon as yet.
Many thanks
