Capturing Anime

Hi to everyone!

I want to capture PAL VHS tapes (Jap Anime) into VCD (or SVCD? After I want to add the movies to a DVD with DVDLAB or a tool like this!).
My capture card is a Pinnacle PCTV PRO.
How can I get the best quality possible?
What software/program/tool should I use?
What suggestions can you give me about resolution settings, filters, framerate and whatever else there may be?

Your post asks a million questions and would take a long time to answer thoroughly. Why don't you learn like everyone else? Get started on it and when you run into a specific problem, post a query about it. Nobody is going to sit down and write an encyclopedia for you. :)
