ANy idea why this seems o be the case?

I have no AC3 file after inputting the VOBs into DVD2AVI.

Only an MPA file (whatis an MPA file?)

So when I encodewith GK andDIvx Codec ofcourse there is no audio cos Besweet does not find the AC3 file.

WHy is this happening? How can I solve the situation?

Other Vobs inputted thru DVD2AVI always hav given me no prob in creating an AC3 file.

I have retried it - butalwaysonly an MPA file exists.

And so if I cannot create an AC3 file usingDVD2AVI, how do I convert theMPA file to MP3?

many thanks

MPA= MPeg Audio layer II.

You have to convert it manually to MP3, and BeSweet is able to handle it. Get the latest version, open the MPA file in the GUI and convert it.

read the BeSweet FAQ (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15738#post77320) and the official homepage (http://dspguru.doom9.org/).

well, I really can't understand whats wrong with this Mpa file.

It plays fine.

but BeSweet just will not convert it.

although there are no error messages.

nothing is created. No Mp3 file.

Ive converted other thign in the GUI with no probs

butobviosly I can't use it with he video, AS i CAN'T convert it so it may be joined.

or is there another way?

I moved this to the audio encoding forum, because I don't know why besweet won't convert the MPA file. One way around it is to use winamp to convert the file to WAV and use besweet/GKnot to encode it to MP3. This will take some space though as uncompressed audio is quite big, so I'd be quite interested to hear someone giving us a clue as to why BeSweet won't handle the file.

actually I think there must be some sort of prob with the Vob files. I can't think what or why, as the part 2 DVD I ripped from an hour later gives no probs and of course an AC3 file is created.

I couldnt find the winamp plug in for Mpa to Wav.

Tried VOB2AUDIO prog. A list file does exist but the VOB2A prog tells me that it 'cannot open a file in the list'. Further indication that there is an error with the Vobs.
Strange as I can play the vobs with no errors.

So Im gonna pop down to the local library to re-rip pt1 and hope that the prob does nto re-occur.

The only thing I can think of that I might have changed between DVD pt1 rip and pt2 was in pt1 I ripped (Smartripper) with ASPI adapters turned off but DeCss turned on. ASPI adaptors activated in pt2.

Does that make any sense? Would it have made any difference?
