From the UnDot readme:
currently requires a P-III, Athlon, or higher. Needs SSEMMX support
I have an Athlon Thunderbird 950 processor which I didn't think supported SSE, yet UnDot appears to work when I use it (or it at least does something, as I always end up with smaller file sizes when I use it). I had assumed that if it needed SSE it would need an Athlon XP but I decided to test it anyway. So does it work correctly with T-Bird processors?

Athlon has integer SSE support, which is a subset of the SSE instruction set. So the filter works as it is supposed to.

I was unaware of that, thanks for explaining. :)
