View Full Version : Where is the "Upper Field" checkbox in CCE 2.67.00.09

I got now the CCE 2.67.00.09 and while trying to encode I can't find the "Upper Field" setting checkbox in the video settings. Why? Have they removed it? What happens now that I have to reencode a video which is upper field as I am told by Bitrate viewer?
And what happens if I want to encode a DV .avi file, how I am sure it will be encoded bottom field first
Also I remember reading somewhere in this forum that CCE always encodes upper field first regardless of the settings. Can somebody give me the link to that discussion as I can't find it anywhere?

Thanks in advance

They have replaced it with an "offset lines" option. All the old "upper field" setting did anyway was shift the video down one line.

Actually, it shifts the video one line up when Upper Field First/Offset Line = 1.

So in other words, when my source is a DV video file (which is Lower field) I simply type 1 in the offset line which brings the lower field up, which will play first since CCE's output will always be Upper field. Am I right?

Yep that's right. It's a quick and dirty field reversal.
