software svcd player w subtitle support?

Well, as the subject line says, id like to know if there is any software media player that supports selectable subtitles on svcd's? I have PowerDVD XP and Creative Dxr3, both won't give me the option to turn on or off subs.

bummer.. why not, i ask myself? oh well, here's a follow up question, then:
Hows the support for selectable subs on svcd's on standalone dvd players? cause if i can't see the subs there either, then there's really no point in bothering with the subs, is there? (and i'd rather not have permanent subs)
