Dear Friends,
I`ve tried to convert a DiVX file (640*368,23.976 fps,MPEG 4-Low Motion) to SVCD using DVD2SVCD ver. 1.1.3 Build 2 and CCE ver.2.66.01.07 with EcclCCE ver. 1.4a.Under Frameserver Tab I`ve selected "Bicubic Resize with Forced subs for avi", `cause I wanted to add subtitles to the movie.
Everything worked fine inld the subs , just that the result movie was "Full Screen", and if I`m not mistaken the original DiVX movie aspect ratio was 4:3.
Unfortunately, I don`t know how to determine the aspect ratio for DiVX movies.But the SVCD`s filled the monitor screen totally.
So is there anyway to keep the aspect ratio with DVD2SVCD.
Any help is highly appreciated.
Regardz,
Atreides.

Uhhhh...if your DivX file was 4:3 and your SVCD came out full screen then this is to be expected. 4:3 is full screen!
Perhaps what you meant to say was your source file is 16:9 ie widescreen. In which case in the Conversiom tab, where it says Aspect ratio "4:3 (no borders, encode as 4:3)", click the dropdown arrow and change it to "16:9 (Borders added, encode as 4:3)" then it'll play properly on your monitor or a 4:3 TV.
AVIs have a 1:1 pixel aspect ratio. To get the proper resizing, use my AutoFitCD plugin (see sig). Install it, follow the instructions and when in the preview window with the FitCD controls at the bottom, make sure that source is set to "1:1 Monitor" and "Anamorphic" is unchecked for both source and target.

@BR and all the Others,
The reason I said my DiVX file was 4:3, was that I see two black bands at the top and bottom of the screen, which width is less than the 16:9 movies, a dummy like I would say, that the picture witdh is broader than 16:9, but still those bands present, but after encoding, the movie filled the whole screen.
Dear BR, I`ve used your FitCD before, and I was eternally gratefull, but as I`ve mentioned, I wanted to add subtiltes and the only way known to me was "Bicubic Resize with Forced subs for avi", so if you know any other way to add subtitle using FitCd, pls post a Dummy guide for me to follow.
Thanx.

What is ""Bicubic Resize with Forced subs for avi"? Is that a special AVISynth script you are using? Anyway, there should be no problem using AutoFitCD and external subtitles. Just do it, it should work.
