Dear Friends,
I want to convert Divx to SCVD.I`ve got both TMPG ver. 12a and Ver.2.59.47.155.Using the ver.12a, I`ve converted DiVX to VCD many times.
Loading the provided templates for SuperVideoCD(NTSCFilm) or SuperVideoCD(29.97fps), in the configuration under the "Video Tab", the "Rate Control Mode" could be selected by the user.Default setting is "Constant Image Quality" or CQ, but there are many options available.
I`ve encoded with CQ, the result was semi-perfect, just there`s a slight problem with the converted file size!!!! A 1:46 min. movie ended up 1.62 GB, which cannot be put into 2 SVCD`s.Converting the same file with DVD2SVCD with CinemaCraft Encoder yields two 80 min. image files. But it took more than 10-12 hours on my system.TMPG makes it in less than 4 Hours.
Anyway, any hint with the best setting for the aforementioned subject is highly appreciated.
Regardz,
