I am trying to put both disks of the godfather 2 onto one DVD-R. I have ripped both disks, renamed the second disks' vobs, ect.. The movie is now 11 GB and is 13 VOB's. The problems I am now having is DVD2one will act like it is going to reduce the whole movie but stops after VOB 9. (about 1/3 into the second DVD) It will not transcode any further. It appears to have everything right, the part of the movies it does transcode comes out to 3.12 GB so the ratio is right, but why will it not continue on to VOB10-VOB13???

I think you can only have a max of 9 VOB's tho I may be mistaken :)

I backed up Dr. Zhivago this way and I thought there were 11 VOB's, again, I may be wrong.

I was gonna suggest you rip both the DVD's then strip out the audio/subs you don't want then merge them after

or rip them but create 2GB VOB's instead then join em

one of the other guys will tell you the exact gory details on how to do it, cos I'm just going off memory as I ain't dun it but that's what I wud try

I would not do this at all, especially not with DVD2One. 192 minutes on one DVD-R, believe me, the result produced by any of the "One-Click" apps will look horrible. Better do each disk separately, disk 2 is easy because it's only a DVD-5, anyway.

I agree with RB.

I've just finished doing Godfather Part II myself. Disc 2 is just a straight 1:1 copy. And for disc 1 I used DVD2DVD-R and a 2 pass encode using CCE. In my opionion it was just too big for even IC7. (would have had to go to around 62% whic is too low for me for the main movie).
