Could figure which forum to put this in, but if yall are encoding divx3, one must assume you are decoding it at some point as well. Basically what happens is, everytime I install a new divx5 version, for awhile it is the dominant divx decoder, for all versions. For whatever reason though, eventually the divx3 decoder usually manages to take back over. I have an aging system, 533mhz celeron, and with the divx5 decoder, I basically have to well depending on the quality of the video, have the playback quality set at the medium setting or lower. The divx3 decoder however can be set at the maximum setting and still work fine, and frankly look better. Complicating this is the fact that the bilinear filtering or buffering effect or whatever you call it that goes over the video, doesn't seem to work with divx5 anymore. This is a switch, earlier versions of divx5 this didn't happen, and this wasn't as big of an issue. Now however, its pretty annoying. Is there anyway to get the d3 decoder to work?
