widescreen convert?

I love this program...but one thing I havn't been able to figure out...is how to convert an avi to mpeg in widescreen format? I have widescreen avis...but tmph dishes them out in full screen mode...I tried different sizes in the settings menu....
Any help would be appreciated.

You can't use Full Screen for Wide Screen video.
If the Video has the right Format, use Center. If you have to resize it, use Center (custom size) and type in, the size you need. But it's better not letting do TMPGEnc any resizing.

why would you want to convert a widescreen avi -> widescreen mpg?; who am i to judge.

MPG Setting --> Advanced --> Full Screen (keep aspec ratio)
